Future Leaders Voices: Yiska

Looking back, what impact did the Future Leaders programme have on you personally and professionally? Did it change anything about how you see yourself in the music or events industries?

As a Disabled accessibility specialist, the Future Leaders programme gave me the confidence I needed to start a business and work on my own terms. It’s fantastic that this support is available and I would recommend it to anyone.

What were the most valuable things you gained from being part of Future Leaders?

I was able to upskill myself by taking advantage of opportunities for training and development, which has been invaluable. I also received funding to attend a course which is instrumental to the work I do.

What significant things have happened in your career since taking part?

I have taken on major festival and live events clients and built a career doing what I love. I also work with Attitude is Everything more formally as one of their Freelance Trainers.

What would you say to someone thinking of applying to Future Leaders?

I have already recommended the programme to a number of people and would strongly encourage anyone to apply. Make the most of the network and opportunities on offer – you won’t regret it!
