About the role
Our Next Stage initiative is an industry-leading project tackling the barriers faced by disabled artists seeking to progress their careers in the UK’s music industry. Four years on since its launch, the initiative has widespread industry support and connections with a wealth of talented disabled artists, setting the stage for an exciting new phase generating industry change.
This role will lead the second phase of our successful Next Stage initiative, launched in 2018 and supported by funding from Arts Council England
The Artist Development Manager will drive the development of streams of work including our Next Stage artists community of 260+ disabled artists, our 10 Artist Ambassadors, our Talent Development Group of funders and lead our artist development campaigning work including Just Ask.
The role will develop vital areas of new work, including the development of inclusive showcasing initiatives with partners, industry guidance and breaking down the barriers currently posed to disabled artists by industry career development events.
Delivering Phase Two of Next Stage will also incorporate working closely with colleagues to ensure artists are represented fully in our communications and industry influencing activities, including within our Live Events Access Charter.
Details
- Salary: £34,000 pro rata (£20,400)
- Hours: Part time – 21 hours per week. This role may include occasional work outside these hours for evenings and weekends. Time off in Lieu is offered for additional hours worked.
- Based: Office – London, NW1 with potential for travel across the UK and beyond. A combination of remote and office-based working will be considered – we are a now a hybrid-working team.
- Reports to: Head of Research and Campaigns
- Pension: 10% employer contribution
- Contract: Permanent
- Holiday: 26 days pro rata
