What is the Live Events Access Charter?

What is the Live Events Access Charter?

Attitude is Everything’s Live Events Access Charter is a framework, toolkit, and assessment process designed to drive genuine accessibility across the live events and music industry. Building on 25 years of feedback from disabled people and extensive collaboration with industry professionals, the Charter sets a standard for inclusive practices across venues, from grassroots to arenas and festivals. It empowers and celebrates those committed to progress, fostering community and peer support to make accessibility integral to every part of live events.

Through collective ambition and innovation, we aim to create spaces where accessibility is not a luxury but an essential standard.

Why should we join the Charter?

The Live Events Access Charter is free at the point of use and offers a comprehensive framework to support live event venues and festivals in achieving accessibility excellence. By joining, organisations demonstrate leadership in accessibility, enhance attendee experiences, and gain operational, reputational, and financial advantages.

For organisations receiving regular funding from Arts Council England, the Charter is a valuable tool to showcase best practices in accessibility. As part of our IPSO role, we are committed to supporting organisations in becoming more inclusive.
