Blaine Harrison


Blaine Harrison (born Stephen Blaine Harrison on May 23, 1985) is an English musician and songwriter best known as the lead vocalist of the indie rock band Mystery Jets. He is also one of our Next Stage Artist Ambassadors.

Amadou & Mariam


Amadou & Mariam are a musical duo from Mali, composed of the couple Amadou Bagayoko (guitar and vocals) (born in Bamako 24 October 1954) and Mariam Doumbia (vocals) (born in Bamako 15 April 1958).

The pair, known as “the blind couple from Mali” met at Mali’s Institute for the Young Blind, where they both performed at the Institute’s Eclipse Orchestra, directed by Idrissa Soumaouro, and found they shared an interest in music.

Lord Clement-Jones CBE


In 1998, Lord Tim Clemont Jones CBE was made life peer and until July 2004 was the Liberal Democrat Health Spokesman. Thereafter until the General Election in 2010 he was Liberal Democrat Spokesman on Culture, Media and Sport in the House of Lords. Tim was Chairman of the Liberal Party from 1986 to 1988 and Treasurer of the Liberal Democrats from 2005 to 2010.

Mat Fraser


Mat Fraser (born 1962) is an English rock musician, actor and performance artist. Between 1980 and 1995 he was a drummer with several rock bands including Fear of Sex, The Reasonable Strollers, Joyride, The Grateful Dub, and Living in Texas, the latter of which had a number one single in Italy.

Alan McGee


Alan McGee (born 29 September 1960) has been a record label owner, musician, manager, and music blogger for The Guardian.

McGee is best known for co-forming and running the independent Creation Records label from 1983–1999, and then Poptones from 1999-2007. He has managed and championed successful acts such as The Jesus and Mary Chain, Primal Scream, Oasis and The Libertines.

Isabel Monteiro


Isabel Monteiro is a Brazilian singer-songwriter and bassist who relocated to England in 1990s and led London-based alternative and dream pop band Drugstore with Dave Hunter (later replaced by Daron Robinson) on guitar and Mike Chylinski on drums. The band’s name is taken from the 1989 Gus Van Sant film, Drugstore Cowboy.

Robert Wyatt


Robert Wyatt (born Robert Wyatt-Ellidge, 28 January 1945, Bristol) is an English musician, and founding member of the influential Canterbury scene band Soft Machine, with a long and distinguished solo career. He is married to English painter and songwriter Alfreda Benge.
