Since 2000 we have been offering a wide range of disability-led consultancy services which focus on improving access for audiences, artists and professionals. This includes over 15 years of delivering our sector-leading Live Events Access Charter and support programmes. Specialisms include creating accessible working cultures within creative environments, and advising on accessibility within live events spaces.

Our clients include Glastonbury Festival, Bristol Beacon, RADA, Help Musicians UK, Wembley Arena, LS Events, Hay Festival, HM Government of Gibraltar, Falmouth University, BBC, Events Industry Forum and the Roundhouse Young Producers Programme.

Our work is led by Paul Hawkins, Deputy CEO, supported by a team of colleagues and freelancers. He sits on the UK Music Diversity Taskforce and the Standards Advisory Committee for the Creative Industries Independent Standards Authority. From 2021 to 2024, he was the Chair of Inclusion London.

Paul has lived experience of disability and over a decade’s experience supporting organisations to become more accessible and inclusive.

Areas we can cover

Bespoke consultancy 

  • We approach each piece of consultancy in terms of finding practical solutions to access challenges that our clients face. 
  • Each project is solution-focused based around solving those problems. This could be a combination of consultancy and training and may include site visits, communication reviews, stakeholder engagement, accessible employment support and advice & guidance.   
  • Currently we charge a flat day-rate of £1,050 for consultancy and have set fees for our training offers.  We regularly offer a reduction for charities and are open to discussing pricing based on the scope of the project. 

On-site visits and review

  • Observational feedback reports: aimed at venues or festivals whereby we come on site, assess access and provide a written report outlining areas of strengths and areas for improvement. We provide practical suggestions, solutions and recommendations for improvements. 
  • Experiential access reviews: We act as a bridge between disabled people and venues or festivals by discovering and reporting the experiences of disabled people at the event.  This can include feedback from audiences, crew and artists.  We then propose practical solutions based on the feedback. 
  • On-site support and development: We visit on-site to provide mentoring and support to access officers and provide them with advice and guidance over the course of an event.  This is a very practical support offer designed to upskill and develop sustainability within the industry. 
  • Currently we charge a flat day-rate of £1,050 for consultancy and have set fees for our training offers.  We regularly offer a reduction for charities and are open to discussing pricing based on the scope of the project.  

Consultancy retainer services

  • We can provide a retainer service for organisation that want to have the opportunity to ask the team access-related questions and get support and guidance as and when it is required. 
  • This is available for Charter listed organisations, or organisations wishing to engage in long-term consultancy support (minimum 10 days). 
  • Currently we charge £600 a day for retained services, depending on requirements. 

Training follow-up workshops

  • For organisations looking for support implementing learning following one of our training courses, we offer a facilitated follow-up workshop with a member of our Access Team. 
  • This two-hour session provides an opportunity to explore venue or event-specific challenges, ask questions, and discuss practical solutions. The service includes preparation time, workshop delivery, and a short follow-up summary where appropriate. 
  • Workshops are charged at our half-day consultancy rate, with charity discounts available. 

Council accreditation for grassroots and community venues

  • Local Councils can apply for a license to accredit local venues using the grassroots and community toolkit. 
  • The offer includes Disability Equality and Customer service training (including a refresher after 2 years) for staff. 
  • We provide support and guidance around using the toolkit, plus regular reviews and Q&A session. 
  • It enables local authorities to encourage and benchmark local venue accessibility. 
  • Currently we charge £5,000 per local authority per annum
